Yes, I have tried antibiotics for acne. I can not remember the specific antibiotic. There are some uncomfortable side effects of the antibiotic: you have to stay out of the sun, there is a good chance if you take the pill on an empty stomach you will become nausea and I know many women get yeast infections due to the chemical change in their bodies antibiotics cause. Another thing that freaked me out a bit was the dermatologist told me she had to check to see if my gums where blue because that type of antibiotic had been known to do such a thing. Sure would have been nice to know that BEFORE I had been taken it for a month. Luckily my gums did not turn blue. In my opinion if you have tried EVERYTHING else and you have extremely bad acne get the antibiotics otherwise steer clear.
