I am so excited to hear about somebody else reading V C Andrews. I love this thread.
The grandmother did a great job, but I was so disappointed by how much they toned down the romance between Cathy and Chris. Even if I don't like that they are brother and sister, that would have made the movie just so much edgier, and more like the book which was incredible.
The Landry series is one of my favorites, I especially liked the book about Gabrielle, I think I just feel like I relate to her. It is suppoesd to be in the works, supposedly as a Lifetime mini series. This is the only link I could find for the Landry series,

Rain is the story of the African American girl who finds out that her mother is actually a white woman with a lot of money, and her father lives in England. She likes to act, I believe, and ride horses. She gets in a horse accident and ends up in a wheelchair. I think it's a semi-newer one, but I like it because I think it mirrors a lot of VC's own thoughts. She was confined to a wheel chair for a large chunk of her life too.
