Cosmetics

It is said that use of products labeled “noncomedogenic” or “oil-free” will avoid pore-clogging and skin irritations that are similar to acne and that can contribute to acne.

I am not about this. But can say that for many years I have limited the amount of makeup that I wear. I no longer use foundations unless I know they are oil free.

I know that certain makeup that I wear does irritate my skin and in some cases even seem to make my acne worse. I am not one to wear much makeup and that is partly the reason.

I'm a huge fan of mineral makeup for this reason. Mineral makeup, I believe, has kept my skin clear. I have way fewer pimples now than when I was using the non-comedogenic liquid/powder foundations.

I have never tried mineral makeup. Where can I find it, and what stores usually carry it? I have never heard that term before, but if it helps at all, I am all for it.

Cosmetics can be devastating to ones skin. It is slightly ironic because make up is supposed to make one look better but in reality it can clog your pores and cause skin problems.

I order my mineral makeup online from either Bare Minerals or Everyday Minerals. You can also buy Bare Minerals from Ulta and some "major/larger" department stores.

You can also get mineral makeup at a regular department store or Wal-Mart/Target/Grocery store, but I have never tried those.

I have tried Lorel’s minerals make-up and I love the way it covers. I have also notice that I do not break out as much when using the minerals make-up. I have tried using liquid foundation since I started using minerals make-up and liquid always leaves my face so oily looking making powder a necessity, just something more to clog my pores. Give Lorel a try; it’s a cheaper alternative from what I understand.
