Always Wash Your Hands
This may have been already mentioned, but washing your hands a lot will help prevent acne. I have the habit of touching my face a lot and hands can easily spread germs. I always keep a anti bacterial hand soap at my house. It has actually helped a lot.

Great tip. Not only is it a good tip to prevent acne, it's a great way to keep yourself from getting sick. I keep hand sanitizer in my purse with me at all times, because I have the same habit of touching my face a lot.

Me too! I've noticed also that we have not caught any colds this winter and my young daughter has not been sick once. It's so important to wash hands, and it is amazing how many people ignore it. There was a survey done in public restrooms last year and there was a whopping percentage of people that did NOT wash their hands after they used the restroom..ugh..

Not to mention, if you keep your hands washed you'll probably get sick a lot less often
Seriously, this is such a good tip because we all touch our faces more than we realize, and we can easily transfer oils, as well as irritants. |

I shouldn't either but it's a habit that is hard to break. For example when I am thinking I will rub my chin or when I am tired I will lean my face over into my hand. It is just little things that people don't really think about, but it can also the culprit of skin problems if people do not keep their hands clean.

I remember going into a mad, wash-everything-possible phase when I had my one serious outbreak of teen acne. On weekends and days off from junior high, this worked well; on school days, it was tougher because you could only go x times a day to the boys' room without teachers wondering what you were really up to.
