Noxzema

I've never had luck with this problem dealing with acne. All it would do is make my face feel refreshed and "minty" for about 5 minutes after use. However, I have found that it is a good make-up remover, just not a very good face cleaner or acne fighter.

I did use the pads that you use to clean off the makeup off your face. I actually liked them, they seemed to clean the makeup off really nicely. I never used any of the other products though.

Noxema never helped me either. It did make my face feel very clean but that was about it.

I'd forgotten all about this product line, which is amazing because I sure used it a lot when I was younger. It didn't do anything for my acne, but I thought it was an excellent cleansing product. I used the cream and the pads (not at the same time), plus the astringent lotion.

I've never heard of the pads? Are they like astringent pads? The only Noxzema product I have used is the one the in blue plastic can with the white minty smelling cream.

Yeah, they are like astringent pads. I really like them, even though they sting a lot, because it makes my face feel so clean. I like to use a toner with it too, and then add a moisturizer.

I enjoy the tingling feeling Noxzema gives my face. It also works really well on sunburns (John Candy in “Summer Rental”) and for shaving. Noxzema even has a line of disposable razors. I keep the blue tub at home for miscellaneous uses.

I liked the cooling/tingling feeling of the cream, but did it make your face feel filmy when it dried? That is the only thing that I didn't like about it. I made sure I washed my face well too.

Noxzema? That was the first thing my mom tried to use when my first pimple erupted shortly after my 14th birthday. Alas, it was as useless as, um...udders on a bull, to put it nicely.

Now, it does work excellent for shaving. It works better than many products that are made for shaving alone. It also keeps your legs very soft and smooth. If only it would work as good on faces.
