Embarrassing

Do you feel that adult acne is more embarrassing to have than teenage acne?

I have found that I get more embarrassed now when I breakout then I did when I was younger. I think this is because I feel that by my current age, I should be well aware of how to keep the blemishes at bay. Anybody else?

I think it is more embarrassing to have acne during your teenage stage. As a teen you should look good and flawless. Having acne is embarrassing.

I would have to disagree. The teenage years are really the most awkward stage of your life, and it's pretty natural to have acne as a teenager. As an adult, you are expected to be completely grown, and acne isn't as common.

It's normal to have acne as a teenager, but not very common with adults, so most of them feel bad because on their group, they are the only ones that have it, sounds bad

I think that it is equally as devastating whether you are an adult or a teen. There are just different reasons behind it. Like a teen might have a hard time with bullying or an adult might have a hard time in the dating scene (depending on severity, of course).

I think it is just as hard to have acne as an adult. I mean it seems you can feel more out of place since there are not always a lot of adults with acne.

Yes! I feel the same way as you do. When my face breaks out now I feel as though people are thinking I do not wash properly or that there is a cleanliness issue. I have tried numerous things to keep pimples away, but they just happen and it is NOT due to lack of trying. I feel like I should get a shirt that says, “Hey, I’m clean and I can’t help that pimple you are staring at!”

Actually yeah for adults acne is more of an issue than the younger ones because at the younger age you will find many of your friends with the same problem whereas at the elder age they aren't many so that creates an issue.
