Adult cruelty
I know that there are a couple of threads about how teenagers can be so cruel to others about acne, but what do you think about adults? Do you think that adults can be just as critical of other adults as teenagers can of other teenagers?

Definitely. My sister-in-law always said derogatory things to me when my adult acne was bad. She made it sound like it was my fault, always commented on it, etc. Needless to say, she is not high on the list of people I'm around this days.

And in truth, they think that epidermis is hair.
I remember Forgive Darkness saying that one supervisor at his work had really bad acne, and one irate customer referred to him as "pizza face". I don't know what happened after that, but if someone talked like that to MY boss, I'd throw them out for disrespecting staff. Thats why I like working at the corner store, I'm just a shelf boy, but Syrinda lets me toss out the trouble-makers. Last edited by Dartz; 12-18-2007 at 12:21 AM. |
