Post Acne Marks

Hey guys,
I have been using Differin for about 2 months now. It seems to be clearing up my acne in the areas I was originally having problems in, and it made me break out in other areas I wasn't. Anyway, now that a lot of my pimples seem to be clearing out, I am left with a lot of post acne marks. They are lots of red splotches all over my face, and I was wondering if there was any ways to treat these red splotches to make them fade faster. Also, about how long do these marks take to fade?

Thanks,
Ross

Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.

The Oil Cleansing Method

What you will need:

Warm Water

Cold Water

Clean Towels

Castor Oil

Olive Oil

The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.

You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.

Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.

Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

Hi,

I had severe acne on my face. But then I use iS Clinical Super Serum and the condition soon improved. The best thing about the serum is that it also fades post-acne marks and scars on the face.

I'm still using it and the spots on my face are gradually fading away.

I had a terrible case of acne during my 20's and I've exhausted different methods and products just to see what will work. After a handful of experiments, I found one local product that finally cured my acne. I stuck with the product eversince. I still get pimples now (I'm 29) but it's because of bad skin care habits. Otherwise, I think my skin is doing ok.

For post-acne marks, I had diamond peel and glycolic peel.

I use a mud mask made by Epoch. It has cleared my red blotches from when I was in high school and between playing softball and being the medic on the football team my stress was high and so was my acne.

The mud mask can be found at http://thehomespa.nsedreams.com

The worst thing about acne is the scars and the marks it leaves behind. Some of the scars tend to disappear with time but some are so grave that it can be disfiguring which may make our heart sink.

The post acne marks is the hyper pigmented or red marks and is called as the post inflammatory marks. These marks take atleast 6-12 months to completely disappear. When these marks last longer than a year then it turns into a scar.

A number of things could be done to reduce the redness and to quicken its pace to disappear. There are also a number of home remedies available. Following are some of them.

1) Rub lemon juice on the scar/marks. This will lighten the color. Apply the juice and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Wash off your face and then apply a sun block lotion.

2) Make a paste of sandalwood powder, black gram powder and rose water. Apply it on the area and I possible leave it overnight. Wash it with cold water the next morning. If you find that it makes you skin too dry then add some milk into it.

If these tips did not work for you, do not lose heart you can still try some other tips. Good Luck!

solutions with hydroquinone usually work, you just buy them ... there are a few out there that are not harsh either. put the gel on the spot over night and it looks much better in a few weeks...aslo, avoid further exposure to sun light! wear spf lotions at least on those pigmented spots!

Hmm interesting

I am glad to hear your report on Differin. I first heard of it and thought it a great idea, because essentially it is topical accutane. But the trouble is that it causes really bad red blotches on the skin and this is just unnacceptable. Still that had been my and your experience, but not everyone will experience it thus.
