Stocking Stuffing Ideas

Do you usually get stocking stuffer gifts such as cds and books, or do you fill it fruit, candy, etc? I know there people handle the stocking stuffers in different ways.

When I was a kid my mother usually put things like gum, candy, trading cards, and school supplies in the stocking. I even had a few game boy games in a stocking once in a while.

I got candy, lottery tickets and mints. That is just about it really. Nothing crazy or abstract. It was all simple "stuffers."

We always had stockings filled with candy, pens, pencils, and small toys when I was a kid. When our own kids were small, we always had stockings for them too. We've gotten away from doing the stockings the last few years, but I kind of miss them.

My family has always done it so stockings have been filled with items like books, cds, movies, chocolate, and other small gifts. It all really depends each year but usually it is small gifts.
