Why do most people hate Britney Spears? She had a very good image when she just started. Do you think money and popularity really affect our personality and how we handle ourselves?

I think that this new lifestyle has really affected her in a bad way. She had a good image at first, but I think what happened is that she does not want the popularity to invade her personal life, and she's letting it get to her too much. I just heard yesterday that she did not get custody of her children, which I think might be a good thing at this point because she seems so unstable. I do feel bad though, because she seems to genuinely love her boys.

The court really made a good decision about the custody battle. But, I think as a woman, it is really hard to accept that. Because a mother's love is really different and unexplainable. Maybe, she just needs to fix her life first before appealing.

I agree, I felt sympathy for her when her children got taken away from her. I sincerely hope that she gets her act together soon so that they can be reunited. I also hope that Kevin is a good father to those kids.

I agree with you. Britney needs to change her lifestyle and understand what is important for her at the moment - kids or other things. Only then can she straighten up her image, which has gone to the dogs at the moment. I hope she turns out to be a good mother.

She just could not handle the fame, plain and simple. After years of tours, fans, hectic schedules, no privacy, and living a pop star life, she finally cracked. This has to many many child stars. Is there even one person from Different Strokes that turned out normal ? I really think Britney wanted out of the limelight and to settle down with a family, but she was still hounded left and right. It is the price you pay for being a huge celebrity. I definitely don't think she is making the right choices, but I think one day she will eventually grow up and gain her sanity back. I really think until then she needs to hang the microphone up and try to get some normalcy back into her life.

I do not know about people actually hating her. They just find her gross; at least that is how I see her. She let the money and fame go to her in the wrong way. She is a very troubled young woman that is looking in all the wrong places to fill that emptiness she has inside.

I like her. Think about it... when you had children (or when you do) do you want people constantly following you, watching your every move, snapping pictures to make you look horrendus, calling you fat and a bad mom all while going through a divorce? That would screw anyone up!

I do have to agree with you there, Kelly. The media has a way of making something out to be worse than what it is. It could be any of us and I couldn't imagine being in her shoes. All of the money in the world isn't worth the pain and irritation she is going through.

I do not hate her, she has done some crazy things, but she's a person. One thing I do not like is that the media do not leave her alone anymore, she can't do anything, poor her!
