Retin-a

This product is also known as Tretinoin which can be used in the treatment of acne. It is applied on the affected area once daily before bedtime. However, you should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight when using this.

I have heard of the benefits that this has on the body but have not heard how it directly relates to acne and the benefits. I know it is good for helping skin heal so I imagine it would be beneficial. But I would have to have more information first before making a decision to use it.

Well, just for your information, a lot of people have used this product and it effectively healed their acne. I have three friends who have used this and two co-workers of my boyfriend.

I have a friend who has had excellent results with Retin-A. Do take the precaution of avoiding exposure to bright sunlight seriously, however. She forgot this and ended getting a bad sunburn one afternoon, and she wasn't even outside all that long.

Are there any side affects to using this product. Where would you get it and about how much does it cost? Would you need to have a prescription with this or what.

I think you need a prescription for this product. Your PCP might be able to help or they can refer you to a dermatologist who can further discuss how it works and any side effects with you.

I just received an RX for this that I am going to pickup later today. I really hope that it helps my skin clear up more.

It is good for wrinkles too.

From someone who learned the hard way.....STAY OUT OF SUN when wearing this, please! I got a terrible sunburn that hurt for days and my skin peeled really bad. It hurt to wash my face, it hurt to put lotion on, everything hurt.

Yeh you really do have to be overly carefully about the sun when taking this medicine and some others that are used to treat acne.
