I'm sure most of us, when we were teenagers, heard that masturbation gives pimples, which I have never believed.
Has it to do with hormones or it's a total lie?

I think that acne does have a little bit to do with hormones. Of course it is not effected by anything sexual that you do, like masturbate, but I think that certain hormones do make you more likely to breakout.

Wow...that is all I have to say about this topic. I have heard this so much but I do not think it is true. Masturbation does not have any relation to how many pimples you will get.

Yeah, I have to agree with you, when I was a teen people said that, and they are still saying those things, never made any sense lol

It's one of the many myths associated with masturbation. If they were true, everyone would be blind.

Hormone imbalances do happen to be a cause of acne, which is why girls sometimes get breakouts around their period.

It doesn't cause pimples, and it doesn't make you go blind either

Remember hearing that one? Hormones themselves can play a role in acne in terms of triggering outbreaks. This happens with teens, and it can also be a factor in women of childbearing age.

Are you trying to say that we all masturbate??

But yes if this were true then I know loads of people that would have some serious eye problems.

I think it is just another myth that has been going around. I do not see how acne can be related to sexual activity. Acne has something to do with hormones but not with sexual activity.

All I have to say is Masturbation does not create acne. It just doesn't make sense. Hormones will cause acne as your body changes but any sexual activity will not cause acne.

The two are closely related but I have yet to see any direct link between the two. They both do indeed have to do with hormones but from what I have seen not the same two hormones.
